The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, has taken over this afternoon as a member of the Board of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), representing the City of Cartagena.

The ceremony took place in Cartagena Mayor Rectorado.Junto have joined as board members five others: Ascension Ludeña Lopez, Maria Gimenez Casalduero, Teresa Rosique Alvarez and Andres Rodriguez Goicoechea Cienfuegos, nominated by four political groups the Regional Assembly;

and Alejandro Diaz Morcillo, representing the teaching and research staff UPCT. The Social Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) is a collegiate body of participation c on economic, budgetary and supervisory functions of the institution composed universitaria.Está for a total of 21 members (including the Chairman) and are represented by the Governing Council of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, as well as various institutions such as the Regional Assembly, the Regional Government, the City of Cartagena, the Chamber of Commerce Industry and Navigation of Cartagena and business and labor organizations.
