MC will continue to work for the recovery of the chapels of Mount Miral (06/11/2015)

Regarding the resolution, dated October 20, 2015, the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Community, of which it is necessary to file prior to the initiation of disciplinary proceedings to the company Portman Golf performances, SL on the protection and conservation of the mountain hermitages Miral, MC stated that, in the coming days, submit an appeal by the resolution, taking into account the following points:

- Should proceed to remedy the error on the initiation by the Directorate General of Cultural Assets of the record books on the neglect and deterioration of the chapels of Mount Miral.

At this point, it is important to clarify that the complaint of MC to the neglect and deterioration of the Hermits of Monte Miral, of Cultural Interest (BIC), which forms part of the Monastery of San Ginés de la Jara, is the reason by which these proceedings were initiated.

In May 2014, the media picked up the news of the upcoming emergency response in hermitages of Monte Miral, issuing a resolution the Directorate General of Cultural Property owner urging the implementation of the urgent consolidation works in that monument .

- The BIC hermitages were initiated in 1981. So have the highest degree of protection from that year.

There is evidence of the existence of rubbings black paintings in the hermitage of the Angels made by Julio Mas and Cañavate natural size.

Of those paintings are only a few remains and in compliance with the law 4/2007, MC require the state they were in 1981 restored.

- It is unconscionable and outrageous that after an urgent resolution of intervention by the precarious situation of the monument, the dossier has remained forgotten hermitages more than a year in the Ministry of Culture, suffering this important part of the historical heritage of the District of Cartagena inclement weather without intervention, with the risk of increasing their damage and deterioration.

- The Directorate General of Cultural Property, managed by Maria Comas, is responsible for the current situation, since this new obvious resolution, not only the work of conservation and protection imposed on the company that owns the law.4 / 2007, but it also it allowed to April 2015 the failure of this commercial of its resolution of June 2014, in which protection and conservation of the chapels are imposed following a complaint from MC.

It should be remembered that internal communication of September 11, 2014 the head of the Heritage Service, Miguel San Nicolas del Toro, reported the start of the proceedings to proceed to sanction the breach of the order of 5 June 2014. But the transformation works makeshift disciplinary proceedings does not obtain approval from the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas, until the day April 26, 2015, coincidentally a few days before the visit of MC to the Ministry of Culture to view a file that was theoretically urgent.

In it, it has a letter from the lawyers of the company owning the hermit complex, following the settlement of the wellhead that was a danger to people, urging the filing of the case, which was denied by the Directorate General of Goods cultural.

Now, we proceed to file the pre-opening of an infringement procedure action and minimal intervention is announced, regardless of the deep damage to the shrines because of the carelessness on its obligations to its owners, the CARM and previous municipal government of the PP.

Therefore, MC will present an appeal against the new resolution and will continue to defend the protection and recovery of the historical heritage of Cartagena.
