Local Citizens Cartagena requests the Government to coordinate the Tapa''Rutas (03/11/2015)

In the municipality of Cartagena are now held nine routes from the top, with a total of 97 days, and where 280 catering establishments involved.

With these figures, Citizens Cartagena considered necessary strong involvement of the City, in order to establish a global strategic lines that make a necessary coordination between all routes with an orderly planning according to common objectives.

And all this without forgetting the Chamber of Commerce, pioneer and organizer of the most important routes that take place, 'La Ruta de la Tapa de Cartagena' who have no doubt that in order to have good defense business interests.

Asks the citizens Cartagena City of Cartagena to coordinate once the various 'Routes Tapa' taking place in the municipality.

The uncontrolled growth of these initiatives has led to some of these have been organized alone, without addressing any overall planning, and regardless of the tourist and hospitality strategy of the municipality.

Consequently, some of which have overlapped in time, others too have offered similar products, or have been performed improvised way.

Likewise, some of them no support from government and business organizations, which has meant that they have had to organize alone (even have been three of them have ceased to perform).

Recently, the company Estrella Levante has organized another "route from the top" that has generated great discomfort and complaints from many institutions in the city, as has been carried out without the participation of any local authority.

Although we believe that the proliferation of routes has been and is positive, the lack of coordination between them threatens to wipe out many of them.

Therefore, Citizens Cartagena has been a motion in the city of Cartagena in demanding that the local government to address this issue once and coordinate some initiatives that streamline the business and enrich the offer of gastronomic tourism, the ultimate goal is design a truly attractive offer culinary tourism for clients.

Thus, we could get the "route" does not interfere with each other, but complement and promote each other, combining dates, offer, products and activities, optimizing advertising and dissemination of the same, and reaching agreements with specialized publications.

You could even try to create an "Annual Top Road" that had different "stages" that they were formed by the different existing "paths", and points and annual awards were granted.
