Students of the Department of Hidrogea present the evolution of their research projects (30/10/2015)

The 18 students who make up the Chair Hidrogea-UPCT today presented a preview of the work framed within the R & D and continuous improvement in which Hidrogea and UPCT are collaborating.

Foremost among the projects developed by students of Engineering School of Roads, Industrial and Telecommunications, stresses developed on the Smart Cities, one of the main objectives of the department, where is posing a App application that can bring the service management of urban water cycle citizens.

This morning in the ELDI, Building Research Laboratory of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, was held the First Day of sharing the work that students UPCT being developed within the Department of Hidrogea, which has reached its first 5 months of activity.

In addition to the Smart Cities, other lines of work seek to reduce environmental and economic impacts and water and energy efficiency.

Students are developing optimization works and water treatment in sewage treatment plants and projects for the optimization of the drainage network and early warning systems episodes of torrential rain.

A new feature included the incorporation of Fernando Cerdan, Professor of Telematics Engineering, the co-direction of the Chair, which aims to reinforce the technological development and in the field of Information Technology and Communications.

UPCT Hidrogea-Chair, directed by Juan García Bermejo, is inserted into the Network Technology Business Chairs UPCT.
