Cartagena Local Police conducted a special campaign to control abandoned vehicles from next Tuesday 13 to 31 October.

The campaign aims to review the vehicles that are to be abandoned in the city.

Since 2013 they have been removed in the city a total of 110 abandoned vehicles parked on the street.

The penalty for abandoning a vehicle is a fine of up to 1,500 euros, and costs related to the removal and parking at the impound.

By detecting a vehicle while stranded, it proceeds to notify the owner the start of proceedings for the vehicle to be removed within a period of 15 days.

After this deadline, if you have not taken any action, will retire at the vehicle depot.
