The Deputy Mayor confirms the shortcomings of the College of St. Isidore and Santa Florentina (09/10/2015)

Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, and the councilor of Education, David Martinez, visited the center of San Isidoro and Santa Florentina, plus the Casa del Niño, to check for deficiencies in both centers.

Both Castejon as the mayor of Education have been accompanied by the center's director, Pedro Palazón, who has served as a guide to show them the facilities and damage suffered by the center.

Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon, explained that we checked the condition in which the heart is and you need to remember that it is one of the largest centers in the region, and is attended by many children.

Castejon has continued moving is true that it is susceptible of many improvements.

We are aware of how they are the municipal and regional government coffers.

In addition, he stressed that we have to prioritize as there are works that require connections with some urgency.

Ana Belen explained that these deficiencies be communicated to the Ministry of Education.

He also conveyed that we are going to analyze what are own powers of the council and which of the region.

Furthermore, he assured that we will make an implementation plan with a series of deadlines so that it can undertake.

This council will put the school as a priority on the agenda of the government team.

On the other hand, the Deputy Mayor has also explained the status of the Casa del Niño: It is left to die.

The dining room is unable, like other rooms.

Let's move to the Ministry of Education, and hopefully the solution is not close.

In total 180 children aged between 3 and 5 years come every day to the child's home.

Castejon said that if there are things that are not our competitors, we will not look away.

The counselor and the director general of Department have to come here and help us to give a solution.

It is also important to emphasize that the Casa del Niño is a Cultural Interest, which, according to the deputy mayor, must be treated as what it is when it comes to rehabilitate, but that's no excuse.

Ana Belen has also mentioned the state of the schoolyard of San Isidoro and Santa Florentina, who has said he is not able.

We also wanted to emphasize that we advocate a public, free and quality education, and it can not be that children receive an education first and others second.

Deputy Mayor said that the Councillor for Education is working and to continue advancing along the school year will see some improvements.
