Thirty-five kilometers of devotion in the Pilgrimage of San Ginés de la Jara (31/08/2015)

The Pilgrimage of San Ginés de la Jara in its sixth year.

In all, three thousand pilgrims came together with the goal of walking 35 kilometers through the countryside and part of the city.

It began in the Church of Charity with a mass and a wreath.

Councilors of the government team attended the pilgrimage as the delegate of Finance, Contracting and Heritage, Isabel García, the delegate of Portal and Transparency Office, José María Soler, the mayor of the area of Celebration and Decentralization, Juan Pedro Torralba and Councillor Delegate for Tourism, Obdulia Gomez, among others.

The kick-off took place at the Church of Charity, where they warmed up with a mass and a wreath.

Afterwards, attendees toured several downtown streets to reach the field.

They crossed councils as Roche, from La Union where they rested, enjoyed a great paella and tapas and they could gather strength to continue the journey.

The Camachos also part of the route, La Union and finally the Carthago Nova Stadium where they were greeted with a verbena.

Before arriving at the football stadium he held a Mass in honor of the saint, San Ginés de la Jara.
