The Menendez Pelayo International University aspires to become a national benchmark (11/08/2015)

The mayor, Jose Lopez, received Tuesday in his office at the Town President Consortium Menendez Pelayo International University (UIMP), José Carlos Ros Palace, accompanied by the academic director of the institution, Juan Jesús Bernal, and the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Martinez.

During this meeting, which was also attended by the mayor of Greater Cultural and Archaeological Heritage, Sports and Youth, Ricardo Segado, which in turn is delegated to the Governing Board of the UIMP councilor, he has spoken of the current status of the school as well as their development prospects, and aspirations to become a national benchmark combining the quality of its own activities and institutional support.

Among the specialties of the UIMP include specific postgraduate courses two months.

With regard to training activities, the mayor has suggested organizing courses in archeology.

Currently, the Menendez Pelayo International University has twelve offices in Spain, being the youngest of Cartagena, who works in collaboration with the UPCT, using its facilities and those of the Chamber of Commerce.

In this regard, they have requested the council's support for the use of other facilities such as the Municipal Auditorium The Batel and the Museum of the Roman Theatre, which Jose Lopez has shown its disposión to collaborate on what is in your hand.

Finally, they have also reported an upcoming event that will launch a seminar on Osteoporosis, with lectures, sports activities and a joint meal.
