One hundred kids enjoy camp urban Salesians (07/08/2015)

Councillor of Greater Quality of Life visited the camp, which embodies a project to prevent social exclusion of children without resources.

Francisco Calderon also visited the Youth Center of Canteras

The city camp that takes place during the first week of August Salesians, a project to prevent social exclusion among children and preteens, welcomes a hundred kids between 6 and 14 who have been visited by the councilor Rea Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, and the mayor of Social Services, Carmen Martin.

Children derivatives of Social Services, the Hospital of Santa Teresa and from the district of Los Dolores, which is the school, and participate in fun activities and workshops organized by the center throughout the day, from 10 am to 8 pm, with catering included.

The aim is to promote intercultural dialogue and raise awareness of the risks of social exclusion.

QUARRY YOUTH CENTER

The mayor of quality of life also toured the Youth Center Canteras, in which both the Youth Council as the Local Development Agency and Employment, develop activities.

Francisco Calderon was very interested in the hostel, with capacity for 60 people, announcing that along the councilman of Youth, Ricardo Segado, work for enhancing these facilities and put them in value.

The center Canteras also houses the Astronomical Center of Cartagena, which allows for astronomical observations from their domes, a resource that is used for the organization of activities included in the TLA program, as is to be held on Friday, 14 August and will examine the mythology of the constellations and the Perseids.
