Study and Rehabilitation garbancillo Tallante which was launched last July 10, came to an end Monday with the closing celebration at the Youth Center Canteras, attended the council of Greater and Culture Archaeological Heritage, Sports and Youth, Ricardo Segado, and the general director of Youth, Francisco Sanchez.

The project aims to boost relations between young people from different regions of Spain, giving ac onocer the environment of the region of Cartagena and the coast, as well as promoting respect and conservation to life that has such an environment.

The main objective of the European project LIFE + is to sensitize the population about the importance of conservation and awareness of endangered species and biodiversity in general.

The participants have worked on improving the conservation and recovery of species, namely the garbancillo of Tallante, through the collection of seeds, trail maintenance, etc.

The field work is part of the Youth Programme of the Directorate General for Youth of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and is organized by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena, Polytechnic University of Cartagena, European Eduka Leisure Association and the project LIFE 11 BIO / ES / 727.

Participants came from Madrid, Castile and Leon, Valencia, Catalonia, Aragon, Asturias, La Rioja, Andalusia and Castilla La Mancha, and have been staying at the Youth Hostel Canteras.
