Tourism will consider establishing a horse carriage ride (10/07/2015)

It suggested by the Cultural Association of Flamenco Art and Cartagena Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Delegate for Industry, Tourism, Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development mayor.

It would be as a tourist attraction and aim of recovering ancient traditions

The Cultural Association of Flamenco Art and Cartagena was received this afternoon by the mayor, Jose Lopez, Deputy Mayor, Ana Belen Castejon and the Councillor for Industry, Tourism, Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, Obdulia Gomez. During the visit The Association has proposed the new administration the possibility of establishing a horse carriage for sightseeing around the city.

The Association and its representative, Antonio Casado Mena has raised the proposal in order to establish more attractive for tourism and also to recover traditions that Cartagena had with the galleys, located in the Heroes Square Cavite, who were the taxis then existing.

According to Antonio Casado Mena it is something the city can do since it is among the top ten tourist cities in Spain.

This is not only something of Andalusia but other cities like New York, Paris or Mallorca have it as a tourist resource.

For Cartagena would recover a tradition that also serves as another claim more for tourism. Antonio Casado Mena has also conveyed his gratitude for the reception of the new administration.

This project was presented and in 2011 and the old municipal government never answered us.

Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Tourism has seemed a great idea and we have commented that the proposed study, explained Antonio Casado.
