Young and established writers of the Chilean letters in the Sea of ​​Music (06/07/2015)

One of the main characteristics of the Sea of Music, laying unlike other Spanish festivals, is the importance of its parallel activities, differentiated in the Sea of Art, Film and La Mar La Mar de Letras. The literary section the festival will host this year to young and established Chilean writers, is that Chile is the guest country is 21 edition. Jorge Edwards, Carlos Franz, Paul Simonnetti, Alejandra Costamagna, Gloria Dünkler and Alia Trabucco are the protagonists of La Mar de Letras Special Chile. From 20 to 23 July workshops, lectures and poetry readings in the historic town of Cartagena will be held.

There should be two points of view from which the Chilean literature in La Mar de Letras will be analyzed.

On the one hand, the work of the great authors recognized, rewarded and widely admired internationally, represented by the visit of Jorge Edwards, Cervantes Prize in 1999. On the other hand, the presence of some of the new voices of the colorful Chilean literature Current: Alejandra Costamagna, Gloria Dünkler, Carlos Franz, Pablo Simonetti and Alia Trabucco.

Chilean narrative and poetry have experienced an evolution since the mid-2000s that has resulted in two generations, one formed by authors who rub their fifties and over by young artists that are barely forty.
