Cartagena will host from 5 to 8 July, the 17 Days of Learning and Teaching Mathematics, A Sea of Possibilities in which about 500 mathematicians, teachers in primary, secondary and university will share methods and experiences.
The event is held every two years, it is organized by Spanish Federation of Teachers, and more specifically for Mathematics Education Society of the Region of Murcia.
The sessions were presented this morning to the media by the Councillor for Culture, Education and Equality, David Martinez Noguera, and the president of the Society of Mathematics Education in the Region of Murcia, Welcome Espinar.
David Martinez thanked the choice of Cartagena and stressed the importance of this conference, not only from an academic point of view, but also to promote the city and its charms, and wished participants a happy stay, then have they can be ambassadors of Cartagena and hospitality in their respective places of origin.
Welcome Espinar has stated that the conference, which will be inaugurated on Sunday afternoon in the Tender, will be held halfway between the Auditorium and the School of Industrial, on the campus of the Wall.
In these 150 contributions of the participants they will be presented in different formats of presentations, posters or clips classroom.
Through these teachers will have opportunity to learn specific cases and experiences as well as new methods that improve the teaching of mathematics.
