Agents Cartagena Local Police and Fire, early this morning were coordinated to prevent the spread of a fire that occurred in the Mercadona store located at the entrance of Cabo de Palos.

The police were alerted firefighters to the fire, on the 1,40h, watching these, on arrival, through a thermal camera, the fire coming from inside the warehouse at least one plant of the supermarket parking , affecting several pallets of packaged bread and bags starting to spread to nearby fuel and pipelines.

Thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighters in a few minutes they managed to control the fire, completing tasks with inspection and ventilation of the whole place, so that once extinguished the fire completely, after two hours of surgery, returned to base .
