The III Gastronomic Guide traditional cuisine, presented on Tuesday, includes a total of 162 traditional recipes developed by older people in the village, in a book that was published by the Department of Social Services

Grandma's cooking, traditional recipes, all those dishes that, by oral tradition, passed on from generation to generation within families, have now been collected in writing in the III Gastronomic Guide Traditional Cuisine, a cookbook published by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena, which includes 160 dishes prepared by the elderly in the municipality.

In the presentation of this book they have appeared the acting mayor of the area, Antonio Calderon, and the president of the Federation of Associations and Centres for the Elderly in Cartagena and Shire, Maria Beteta, who have shown proud of the result of a work in which they have worked side by side with older staff and the Department. This traditional cooking recipe comes directly from the memory of our elders and, although it has no stars or anything like that, if you have a lot of love, Calderon noted.

For this third guide they have been published 3,000 copies, more quantity and higher volume than before, with a variety of dishes and can find everything from appetizers, stews, pasta, rice, fish recipes, seafood and meats to desserts and homemade sweets .

Today presented the book to the media, and Wednesday morning will begin to be distributed among seniors who participate in the coexistence of course to be held at the Caritas camp located in Los Urrutias.

In addition, the recipes will be available at all major clubs in the municipality and in the Federation of Elders.
