The Roman Theatre Museum is hosting an exhibition of Salvador Torres (01/06/2015)

The Cartagena artist, Salvador Torres, presents the temporary exhibition, Theatrvm at the Museum of the Roman Theatre.

The works reflect the stage of the Roman theater as the place which contains more truth of all possible scenarios.

In Theatrvm, the works reflect all that is possible within this space.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, June 4, at 20.00.

The exhibition presents some scenarios populated by peacocks, bird nests, nests of wisdom, Roman dice, gambling, theatrical masks, still life and apples, out of scale in different cities, as an extraordinary phenomenon that transcends the local.

In the same plane can be dawn and dusk or succession sequences.

Roman mythology and private intermingle author, but in different episodes of physical location of the Roman theater in Cartagena, either hidden or being recovered.

All elements are associated in the works to show that, through the work of archaeological recovery space, their living environment and the immortal soul is rescued which was, is and will be that building.

SALVADOR TORRES

Saved Torres born in Cartagena in 1971, has a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

His work is halfway between pop and lyrical figuration, and puts us in a plastic narration between fiction and reality, a work in which each frame transmitted from the biographical reflection and dreamlike.

He has exhibited at art fairs like Artexpo 2001 (Barcelona), MAC21 (Málaga), 2002 and 2003 Lineart (Ghent, Belgium), Fotoencuentros 06 (Murcia), and ArtMadrid 07.

Among his collective exhibitions Germinal (2000), a metaphysical vision (2003), The 15 of La Opinion (2003), 100 YEARS 100 ARTISTS newspaper La Verdad (2004), The fil daurat (2005), VII Hall Critics (2009), Gallery 9 (2011) and Art by Lorca (2012).

He has also had solo exhibitions

Torres also excels in the field of graphic work, both in print and screen printing which has applied various artistic techniques.
