The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) today won the XVI Inter Mar Menor Sailing Championship, beating the other institutions of higher education in the Region of Murcia.

The rowing team UPCT has achieved the absolute trophy after finishing first in the races mixed C-10 and C-10 male, have been held on the beach Barnuevo of Santiago de la Ribera.

The Polytechnic University of Cartagena has thus defeated the teams of the General Air Academy (AGA), the University of Murcia (UMU) and San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM).

UPCT, which premiered this year new boat, has been represented at the awards by the Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension, Francisco Martinez.
