On Friday 15 May at 11.30 h in the Auditorium The Batel of Cartagena will be the ceremony and Hache Mandarache Awards 2015, the most democratic of Spanish literature since the awards juries are made ​​up of more than 4,000 young readers organized in reading committees.
These awards make Mandarache Readers Training Project, organized since 2004 by the city of Cartagena.
Javier Ruescas writers and Francesc Miralles, winners of the 2015 Award for Hache in tandem Beats written novel, collected the award on Friday at a gala to be attended by 1,400 readers.
Mandarache Prize winner, film director Fernando Leon de Aranoa, will not attend the ceremony because his last film A Perfect Day has been the only Spanish selected for the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes.
Both awards, Mandarache and Hache, are endowed with 3,000 euros and a reproduction of a sculpture by artist Ángel Haro. These reproductions were made ​​by the workshop of the Special Employment Center PROLAM-ASTUS, the Association of protecting people with disabilities .
During the gala, directed by actress Beatriz Macia, the six finalists writers of the next edition, the eleventh, which will begin next school year they were officially presented to the public and press.
In addition to the prizes awarded to writers called Complementary Awards in which young readers participate: Literary Criticism Award, Illustration Award, Award for fiction, Videocitas Literary Contest, Prize for the best work of a faculty and Award for best efforts to promote reading.
