The retro games staged over the weekend in Miranda (13/05/2015)

For the third consecutive year, the Youth Association of St. James Miranda, in collaboration with the Department of Youth, organized last weekend the 3rd edition of Retromiranda, a focus on video games and consoles ancient event. 48 hours interrupted retro games .

The framework chosen was the social center of Miranda (Barrio de Santiago), which received about 300 visitors from all parts of the region and the rest of the country, with the visit of the Youth Councillor of the City of Cartagena, Ruth Collins, and the president of the Neighborhood Council Municipal Albujón-Miranda, Ángel Nieto.

It began Saturday at 10.30 hours and continued unabated until 21.00 pm on Sunday May 10, at which there was the closing doors.

During the event various tournaments, Tetris and Smash Bros. Melee took place on Saturday, and Super Pang with other VS Mario Kart Crash Team Racing.

In addition, a flea market sale of retro material goings specialty stores throughout Spain was organized, and also featured a bar with terrace dining area to play (classical, consoles, slot machines, pinball) and careful exposure consoles and computers of all ages.

It not lacking a zone of independent developers who were over the two days showing their games and making them known to all visitors.

To enliven the event, the esplanade of the Social Centre hosted a curious and original concert chip tune music performed with the legendary GameBoy handheld console, by Jaime Gancedo, artist playing this old converted into a musical instrument console.
