The Comenius project IES Mediterranean about their students to science, technology and mathematics.
A group of nine teachers and forty students from several secondary schools European Centre, from Turkey, Italy and Spain.
The Mediterranean IES is the project coordinator center, called Scien, technology and maths applied to real life (Science, technology and applied mathematics to real life).
and this morning visited with the other two European centers, the Palace Hall where they were received by the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto.
The main objective of this project is the cultural exchange and especially motivating students to study and learn technologies applied to real life as architecture or the environment.
The project coordinator, Antonio Cantero explained the different activities and experiments that have been shared between three centers: Robotics, the study of underwater and so on.
We got a grant, we are using to build a submarine where the students have learned the principles of buoyancy, how to handle it.
We have also purchased a 3D printer that students learn all kinds of materials.
The centers participating are: Tolga à ‡ ine Go Meslek Kiz Teknik Lisesi, Istanbul, the Istituto Superiore Mario Di Istruzione Paglietti, Porto Torres, Sardinia, and the Mediterranean IES Cartagena.
With this meeting the Comenius project that has lasted two years and where there have been six meetings, from September 2013 until July 2015. During this time they have strengthened the ties between these centers is closing Europe, fostering cooperation, coexistence and exchange of experiences and methodologies.
The Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto has received in the reception room of the Town Hall, and then have done a guided tour.
