Last Thursday, the auditorium of the Association of Residents of the Virgin of Charity neighborhood was filled to know the professional and life of a professional media experience.
María Teresa García Navarro, who has a degree in Hispanic Studies from the University of Murcia and in Journalism from the UCAM, and has over 19 years experience in media, opened an interesting meeting that was attended by children and girls, neighbors and families taking part in the project Educating Family, aiming to motivate present in the importance of finishing compulsory secondary education.
After presenting his impressions, responded to questions they wanted put to it.
Educating Family is a project of social and educational development that Abraham Project Association held at the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood, in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, La Caixa Social Work and the Neighborhood Association.
A total of thirty families participate in this project through a multidisciplinary team comprising various social agents that are present in the neighborhood and allow better integration of these / minor as, encouraging future young people involved in improving their development .
Educating Family is a program of educational support and family counseling designed to improve educational outcomes for children and work the social and educational development of families at risk of social exclusion.
The project includes the training of parents in different developmental processes of children, home management, healthy habits, new technologies and other aspects that might interest on track to achieve effective integration into their environment.
