The Library launches a platform for selling eBooks UPCT (11/02/2015)

The Resource Centre for Learning and Research (CRAI), the 'new' library UPCT has launched a platform for publishing and selling books and other materials in electronic format.

This electronic / digital library supports digital initiatives to develop scientific, educational and cultural content of the university community and institutional contents of the University.

This new service of electronic publishing, improves and updates academic publications support to different degrees, encourages the use of ICT in teaching since all publications are in electronic format and facilitates student learning.

It also increases the dissemination of the results of the creation of knowledge and the authors of the university.

The platform is an adaptation of the application to manage eBooks (OdiloTK) created by the company Odilo, including metadata import and protection of intellectual content.

The Cartagena Odilo company, headquartered in Silicon Valley, has a professorship at the UPCT and works through an agreement, in training, research and practice in the area of ​​Systems Management Archives and Libraries by incorporating new technologies.

The CRAI UPCT is the new library, a flexible, physical and virtual space, where converge and information resources, technology (in situ or accessible via network) infrastructure, human resources, spaces and various equipment and integrated services aimed at student learning and research.
