SPCT: "Barreiro hides the other historic and leave the more depressed area without Christmas lights" (20/12/2014)

Bower San Francisco has become a border crossing in the historic center of Cartagena.

On one side of the Plaza de Spain-axis Hall Square where despite the economic crisis, the government team has spared no efforts to beautify budget streets and program activities.

Across the Merganser-Gisbert axis with its surrounding streets with little lighting, without any activity, making it even more difficult the survival of the few merchants who still resist, despite the abandonment of the government team.

SPCT complaint that seems regrettable that the PP government team try to hide the other Cartagena condemning the apathy.

This is outrageous that only have Christmas lights half 4th Street Saints, so does Duke Street.

Other streets like Caballero street or around the vicinity of the Plaza del Lago, including his university district, no feature bright ornaments.

The residents and businesses in that part of the Historic Center SPCT have denounced that the City is making it very difficult to continue to maintain their residence and business in that part of town.

The area has a desolate state, no parking areas, and attractive lighting for the visitor, that combined with deteriorating buildings and proliferation of dirty solar make it impossible for this time, which is conducive to consumption, can be exploited by traders in the area.

Therefore, from SPCT we demand a comprehensive plan for boosting trade in the most damaged area of the Old Town, which could begin with a meeting with area merchants and installation of a better Christmas ornament and programming activities that encourage consumption.
