The Belgian singer will perform for the first time in Spain on Saturday Nov. 22

The Cartagena Jazz Festival says goodbye on Saturday November 22 and makes it big with the first performance in Spain of singer Melanie Biasio, known as the Belgian Billie Holiday and one of the most promising emerging figures, according to the critics World jazz.

Besides the exquisite voice of Silvia Perez Cruz and Raul Fernandez Miró be in the Nuevo Teatro Circo presenting his album "Granada".

Sale the latest posts.

The day will begin at 21:30.

A native of Charleroi and is currently based in Brussels, Melanie De Biasio is classically trained flutist and has an extraordinary voice, called the Belgian Billie Holiday.

No Deal is the new album, released April 28.

Album of the week recently at the Gilles Peterson show on BBC 6 Music, No Deal has already reached gold status in the charts in his native Belgium, and silver in France.

No Deal is a minimalist record, partly the result of improvisation, will delight any music lover willing to take the time to soak in its subtle splendor.

The album should draw attention to the fans of the latest Talk Talk, Mark Hollis is a huge influence for De Biasio.

He also cites Frank Zappa and Pink Floyd as formative influences, besides Nina Simone and Abbey Lincoln, two icons of fighters for civil rights and voices of aggressive jazz stripped of any involvement.

No Deal contains only seven songs, through which the voice of De Biasio moves gracefully, sometimes disappearing altogether.

With Pascal Paulus on keyboards, Pascal Mohy on piano, and Dre Pallemaerts on drums, De Biasio streamlined everything to make more room for her extraordinary voice.

There is a natural flow to the album, from intimate early on I Feel You note farewell With All My Love.

Silvia Pérez Cruz is the overwhelming voice that has appeared in recent times.

Grown between Iberian and Latin American folk songs, musician educated in classical and jazz, flamenco infected through a connection that seems supernatural, sings in a way that is hers alone and makes her shudder.

Raul Fernandez Miró began as an indie musician to become simply a musician.

Nothing is alien hears all appeals and all will learn something that enriches you as a songwriter, producer and instrumentalist.

Sílvia and Raul have one thing that is hers alone.

And it's not just the code, also the emotional intensity, the sense of adventure;

the connection is such that they become one single and unique, different who are separate.

Raul says he has never met another musician that is read as Silvia.

Silvia says his connection with Raul is an animal thing, which does not have with anyone else.

Their first collaboration together in 2006 revolved around traditional Catalan and Latin American songs.

Now still sing folk songs, but the range has been diverse, unpredictable.

It seems that any raw material serves as a conductive material to express everything that is expressible through music.

As soon discharged thunderstorms as it does during the day with a light as of late summer.

Raul guitars are alive, and resonators of wood and iron that may be sensitive or violent.

Silvia's voice, a cry or a thread, always harmonious, shocked.

This album is an interpreted, recorded and produced by the two.

An album of covers, from the first to the last.

In Castilian, Catalan, Portuguese, English, French and German.

Pieces of Leonard Cohen, Albert Pla, Edith Piaf, Schumann, Enrique Morente, Violeta Parra, Lluís Llach, Novos Bahianos, Maria del Mar Bonet, Fito Paez, K In any time, style or location, just songs / moments that have them marking and wanted to share;

all with a common denominator: the voice and hands of Silvia Pérez Cruz and Raul Fernandez Miró gritty sounding confession to experience or own reverie.

As if they had just written.

Or better still, as if they were taking shape at that moment.
