Companies in the Region continue their commitment to internationalization (11/11/2014)

Our community is placed fourth in the number of export |

The internationalization of enterprises to export beyond our borders, has been the centerpiece of the XIV Workshop for Business Leaders, which was held this morning at the Auditorio El Batel.

The Regional Confederation of Organizations of Cartagena (COEC) by the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) organized this initiative, sponsored by Santander Advance Program.

With this day our goal is to be even more regional companies exporting explained today during the conference the Secretary of State for Trade, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Jaime Garcia Legaz, who stressed that the data is good, increasing by 800 the companies that have internationalized in the last two years.

This is a total of 3,800 exporting companies in the Region of Murcia, making it the fourth most offers its products abroad this community. On the other hand, companies that export regularly, being the basis of this internationalization, are growing in the order 15% per year. Ã ‰ This is the line of work we have to follow, with the economic model of the future, and we're halfway, with examples such as Austria and Germany, claimed Garcia Legaz.

The mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Tourism, Enterprise and Innovation, Juan Carlos Ruiz, also noted in his speech at the closing on the significant growth of SMEs, and it is therefore essential, in addition to internationalization, the involvement of business organizations locally. In Cartagena there are many small businesses that export and internationalize, reaching beyond our borders, the first mayor added.

DAYS

The event was i naugurado at 10 am first thing in the Tender, by Pablo Hernández, president of COEC, Miguel Martinez, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Cartagena, Pedro Morera, director of international business Banco Santander;

and Rafael Ortega, Regional Director of Commerce and director of the Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) in Murcia.

Then the round table held Financial support internationalization, composed Teresa Madrigal, Manager of Greater Commercial and Business Development COFIDES, Ricardo Santamaría, director of Country Risk and Debt Management CESCE; Laura Manero, a member of à rea Management Mediation ICO, Miguel Valle, a member of the Department of Communication Studies and CDTI;

and à ngel Frutos, director of the Mutual Assurance Society UNDEMUR.

The table was moderated by Sergio Perez, vice president of Financial Internationalization Promotion Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Then took place the meeting programs and services to support internationalization, presentations by Victoria Eugenia Gomez, assistant director of the Institute for Development Murcia (INFO), Pedro Morera, director of international business of Banco Santander;

and Gines Padilla, Padilla SL Doors manager.

Interventions were moderated by Alicia Montalvo, Managing Director of Institutional Cooperation in Spain ICEX.

Along with the mayor, the director and the secretary of state also intervened in the closing Pablo Hernández, president of COEC;

and Jose Maria Albarracin, president of the Regional Confederation of Organizations of Murcia (CROEM).
