Pablo and Pedro Caparros win the Trophy Badminton Carthaginians and Romans (24/09/2014)

More than fifty players again cited on Saturday, day 20, the tenth edition of Challenge Badminton Carthaginians and Romans.

Most of the players were from clubs in the region and Rojales (Alicante), but also attended the event many British nationals.

The competition is organized by the Badminton Club Cartagena, and has the support of the City and the Polytechnic University.

The winners were Paul Caparros (CB Cartagena) at senior level and Pedro Caparros Mateo (CB Cartagena) in veterans.

Irene Arnaldos (CB Molina) and Sue Duke (Rojales) in the female category.

Judge Referee of the tournament he was Juan Salvador Olmos and competition was extended for 8 hours and more than 100 matches were played.

In absolute category was won by Paul Caparros (CB Cartagena) who won the final Jesus Sanchez (CB Cartagena) and both won the doubles.

In the women's first place went to Irene Arnaldos (CB Molina) defeating Maria del Lluch Martín (CB Cartagena), while earning double what Maria Lluch - Irene Pardo Nieves defeated Brao - Hordanza (Las Torres).

In mixed was won Arnaldos-Turpin (Molina-Torres).

In veterans Pedro Caparros Victor Mateo was in the final defeating Diego Lucas (CB Cartagena) and doubles was won by Pedro-Pablo Caparros Caparros that were imposed on Ray Wolley - Paul Kundiss (CB Rojales).

In women's doubles pair won the Duke-Carol Sue Rojales Clarkmead after beating Wiggan- Linda Wycherley and Kathryn Ray earned mixed Wolley - Sue Duke defeated Paul Kundiss - Carol Clarkmead.
