Opening of School Year Classroom Occupational (12/09/2014)

Occupational Classroom seventh consecutive year starts a new course which opens next Monday, March 15, in the old school Carmen Conde.

It will be at 10 am and will be attended by the Director General of Educational Quality, Innovation and Attention to diversity, Begoña Iniesta, and the Councillor for Education, Joseph Marotta.

This Classroom is a measure of educational compensation and is performed through the collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities and the city of Cartagena on Prevention, Monitoring and Control of Absenteeism and Dropout.

This project began with a commitment to three institutes of the town, Saint Lucia IES (formerly Admiral Bastarreche), the Mediterranean and the Polytechnic IES IES.

The administrative assignment of Occupational Cartagena Aula rotates among three institutes of the municipality, and this school year IES St. Lucia is responsible for all administrative and teaching work, starting a new round of secondments.

The City Council is responsible for providing the necessary elements to classroom to practical field development and maintenance of the facility where it develops.

The educational objective of this measure is to ensure that students at risk of dropout re-enter the education system and completed basic training.

It is also structured so that makes teaching is dynamic and fluid, and many activities are performed abroad, which makes attendance more motivating it.

It is located on the ground floor of the Center for Educational Resources and Equipment in San Javier Ribera Street, number 13 has a classroom for lectures, office mentoring and patio where a greenhouse is installed, for practical classes.

These units are far from the educational institution to which it is attached, with consequent peculiarities of operation.

This is the fifth school year in which the professional family of the classroom is the agrarian family specialty and skill level Auxiliary Activities Nurseries and Garden Centers Gardens, through which students can learn about landscaping that will facilitate access to vocational training or Initial Vocational Training Program.

Ten of the students from last year have decided to continue their education by taking various specialties of Basic Training.

Now the course with 15 students from 8 colleges and a private center starts.
