SPCTa lerta deterioration of CP "El Cuco" closed after a year (07/09/2014)

The Ministry of Education decided to close the CP "El Cuco" Private Mediterranean in late 2012-2013 academic year, without provided an alternative use for this important public infrastructure.

In June 2013 our political unsuccessfully proposed that since the school was to be closed and the residents of San Antón, Mediterranean New Construction and Cartagena had been waiting more than a decade a new health center for the area, it might be appropriate leverage necessary to reform the school and use the Health Center.

The PP government both municipal and regional refused to consider the offer and a few months ago taking advantage of the dismantling of Rosell promised the locals the imminent construction of a new health center in the grounds attached to the College (where he was expected from a decade) does not so far have begun work.

Given that the PP governments have already decided not to use the school health center from SPCT we ask that you use will give this building.

We also want to alert you to what is happening with this educational facility closed so it can not disregard the administration objected when the impairment is suffering school occurs.

Daily kids jump the fence to get into the school play, some windows are broken, there is graffiti on the perimeter fence and the neighbors contemplate powerless as the iconic "CUCKOO" deteriorates progressively.

That's why from SPCT propose that the City of Cartagena urge the Autonomous Community to put up a tripartite committee which involved two administrations with groups of affected neighborhoods to urgently he is a public use to Neighborhood.

We recall that there is no library or playroom, or youth resource center in these populous neighborhoods of Cartagena, and we believe that certainly the consensus of all it could to use the center and prevent deterioration begins to suffer, as well as prevent possible accidents of kids jumping the fence in center.
