Eleven students of the National Occupational Training Center of Cartagena perform labor practices in Italy (20/08/2014)

In 2015, the center will have more than 60,000 euros for ten students to do internships in Portugal and Italy, under the new European program "Erasmus + '

The head of the Regional Employment and Training (SEF), Alejandro Zamora, reported about the prominent role of the National Occupational Training Center of Cartagena (CNFO) in European training projects because, "thanks to that eleven students this center are or have done internships in Italy during this year. "

"These students participate in the European training program called 'Leonardo da Vinci', which aims to improve the professional skills of the participants, all of whom are unemployed and some with little or no work experience," according to Zamora.

The director of the SEF, the possibility of developing a non-working period of professional practice in a real environment, and it also takes place in other states, represents an added value also in the personal enrichment of the participants.

This also reverts to increase their chances of employment.

So, last June, six students completed their center experience of three months of not working internships in Brescia (Italy).

Previously, these students had done in the CNFO courses for Professional Certificates or Chemical Analysis of Microbiological Testing and Technical English course Laboratory to supplement your preparation for your stay.

Practices developed in different laboratories production enterprises in this city in northern Italy where there is a significant industrial base.

Currently, more than five students started an internship with the same characteristics, but this time two students have traveled to Bari and Brescia other three.

This new project, also framed in the 'Leonardo da Vinci' program is scheduled to end in mid-October.

More participation in European programs in 2015

Alejandro Zamora said the continued participation of the National Center of Cartagena in such projects "are unsecured short term," since "has been selected the proposal submitted in the call 2014 to participate in the new European program" Erasmus + ', that somehow replaces Leonardo da Vinci "program.

"This new project is similar to those described above, with the difference that this time the students it is meant to correspond to the professional certificate in Chemical Plant Unit Operations," said Zamora.

It is expected that this project aimed to ten students from developing in the first half of 2015 in Portugal and Italy.

The grant obtained by CNFO to carry out the project amounts to 60,290 euros.
