Planning begins a campaign to adapt to the norm of the Historical Posters (05/08/2014)

The owners of 40 buildings and businesses street Sagasta Carmen and receive in the coming days an official of the City in which they are invited to trade remove posters that break the rules and are a negative visual impact. This is the first phase of a campaign by the Department of Planning for signs and posters of the Historical buildings adapt to the rules that protect, as reported by the Town Planning and infrastructure, Francisco Espejo.

The mayor stated that these signs affect perspectives and listed buildings and have a great impact on the urban landscape has been much public money invested in rehabilitating buildings and facades and have to keep that image is spoiled with posters that disfigure the city.

No great historical city permits. Espejo has said he is convinced that the municipal campaign will be supported by stakeholders in stating that I have no doubt that we will have the cooperation of businessmen and traders, because they know better than anyone that the Old Quarter is a good of all and know well how important your image is being recovered.

Planning Services have worked in recent months to locate the signs that are more negative for the urban image, especially those in and cover the balconies and grilles and that, for its size and design, are dissonant.

Have been documented nearly 300 posters that do not adapt to the Special Plan of Management and Protection of Historical, which is text that features posters and authorized locations are established.

In a first phase, the campaign will focus on the streets of Sagasta and Carmen, in which the holders of 44 non-compliant posters will receive the corresponding office of Urbanism in which they are invited to withdraw. Provide advice to City Council its adaptation to the standard and will not impose any penalties as if the job is served.

Throughout the month of September we will proceed to review the extent to which the notifications and, where appropriate, it may be necessary to withdraw officially and punish the elements out of order.

The document states that the urban layout of the labels will be addressed to the general composition of the facade and items of interest that may exist therein, and expressly prohibits the introduction of labels on the upper floors, especially the railings of the balconies, and installation of advertising media in the walls, roofs and walls of buildings.

The labels, according to the standard of protection, can not cover the holes in the building, except for ground floor commercial use, you may arrange within the recesses defined in the building project.

The plan supports it on the ground floors have access doors together the nameplates of the professional activities of the building.

Contain only letters and anagrams in a single color.
