Youth in Spain working in conservation Garbancillo Tallante (24/07/2014)

Environmental Field Work Garbancillo Tallante (Astragalus nitidiflorus) is underway. From 21 to 30 July this activity in which young people from all over Spain with the aim of restoring and preserving this species develops.

On Tuesday, received the Youth Councillor, Ruth Collins, at the Palace Hall in an encounter in addition to welcome you to our city served as a meeting place and exchange of experiences.

The Labor Camp is part of the Youth Programme of the Directorate General of Youth of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and is organized by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Cartagena City Council, the Youth Association and the European Project Procodemen LIFE 11 BIO / ES / 727.

One of the objectives of the European LIFE + project is to sensitize and raise awareness about the importance of conservation and awareness on endangered species and biodiversity in general.

Work camps are a way to educate, disseminate and raise awareness on many aspects of nature conservation and environmental friendliness.

Within the wide range of activities, participants will work on improving the conservation and recovery of species, especially the garbancillo Tallante through seed collection, stored in the genebank and empowerment of trails in the area of ​​custody the Garbancillo.

Participants are housed in the Labor Camp at the Youth Hostel Quarry.
