Mills Marfagones participates in the International Band Competition Zamora (24/07/2014)

The musical group Nuestra Señora de la Soledad de Molinos Marfagones represent his people and the city of Cartagena at the First International Music Band Contest Harmonic Zamora, that next weekend will be held on 25, 26 and 27 July in Zamora.

The Association, which is the first time participating in an international contest of this magnitude, will compete in the third category with bands from Portugal, Huelva, Salamanca and host resort, Zamora.

The day for the intervention of the band will be on Saturday 26 at 19.00 hours, having to interpret a mandatory work, A Musical Experience, Sven Van Calster, a work of free choice and a two-step out of competition.

That same day, before the concert, at 13.30 h, perform an action on the streets of Zamora.

The competition, which will bring together over 600 musicians from eight bands and organized by Pro Artis, an association whose aims are the promotion and dissemination of artistic and cultural activities in any discipline and mode will take place at the Ramos Carrión Theatre of Zamora.

The jury of the first edition integrates the Austrian Johann Moesenbichler, principal director of the Police Band of Bavaria and professor Anton Bruckner Private University Linz Music;

Alexandre Gonçalves Coelho Délio § alves, first lieutenant of the Portuguese Navy, where they work as director of the Portuguese Navy Band and Inma Shara, a prestigious Spanish orchestra director.

The Musical Group Our Lady of Solitude has the support and collaboration of the Department of Youth and Celebrations of the City of Cartagena.
