Twenty young precollege belonging to "inclusive Campus, Campus unlimited" was here this morning, the facilities of the Faculty of Business at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, where they participated in a talk in which they have been UPCT meet and hear the experience of two people with visual disabilities overcome the barriers getting finally finish college and play their profession of psychologists.
Young people from all over the Region of Murcia and accompanied by four monitors support, a sign language interpreter, and technical college volunteer service, were interested in the training provided by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, as well as the existence of platforms adaptation studies people with different types of disabilities.
Pre-University, for a week have been various academic, cultural and sports activities such as diving, sailing and rafting, are due to conclude today 'inclusive Campus, Campus unlimited' with a visit to the UPCT and then a walk in Cartagena that will lead them to enjoy the live testimony of the history of the city with stops at the windlass, the Roman Forum and Amphitheatre and museum admission ARQUA.
'Inclusive Campus, Campus unlimited' is an initiative of the University of Murcia (UM) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, the ONCE Foundation and the Repsol Foundation, developed by the Service to Diversity and Volunteerism (ADyV) in collaboration with University Information Service (SIU) at UM, which is based on promoting college disability and increase the medium and long term, their access to the labor market.
It also represents a way to sensitize the university community and allows the visualization of this group in academia.
