Daniel Heredia Cartagena athletes and Javier Sánchez will travel to swim next Saturday, July 12, the 31 miles between Cabo de Palos and Cartagena.
So with this event, both athletes will commemorate the Naval Battle that occurred in waters near the Cape between the squadron and the Cantonal Central Government, October 13, 1873.
The initiative is working with the Department of Sports and would in turn make the journey that carried out the Cantonal Fleet ships in the 141 anniversary of the Naval Battle of Cape Palos.
The start will take place at the port of Cabo de Palos on 8.00 hours, while reaching the port of Cartagena, is provided between 17.00 and 18.00.
For this challenge also has authorization Salvage, Harbour Master and Port Authority of Cartagena.
They inform the Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil, and there will be at least two private boats and Civil Protection.
