José María Jover Zamora maintained a close relationship with the Municipal Archives of Cartagena, following its participation as a juror in successive editions of the contest organized by the file history.

After his death in 2006, the municipal archivist visited the family home and was able to meet its magnificent library, finally, the widow of José María Jover, Guadalupe Gómez-Ferrer Morant, with the consent of his children, has seen fit to transfer it to the City Cartagena.
