Small and large part in the Folklore Festival XXII La Palma (27/06/2014)

Music, children's workshops, lectures and symposium make this programming this issue |

Tradition and culture are reunited this year at the National Folklore Festival of the District of Cartagena, now in its twenty-second edition.

The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Celebration and Folk Cartagena Group City of La Palma are organizing this event that takes place from 5 to 12 July.

The Palm of Casas Grandes, the Agri-Food Experimental Station, is the main stage of the Festival which is intended for young and old.

This Thursday, the 26th, the programming is presented in the English Court with the Councillor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia, President of Grupo Folklorico City Cartagena, Pedro A. Gomez, and director of the English Court, Alfredo Carvajal. At press conference also attended by the Councillor for Social Care, Antonio Calderon.

The music will be one of the highlights of this program, and will be responsible for Malvariche in Concert (Patio of the Great Houses) and Copalor, with versions of the eighties (Square House of Folklore).

Small also slip in this Festival with various children's workshops to be developed along these days. As I was counting the time machine and my grandparents Games will entertain children of Antonio Lopez in the House Folklore.

The colloquium talks are also part of this program, as the mine field, given by Gen. Garcia and Folklore, field and mine, by John Ruipérez.

It will be in the exhibition hall of the Festival.

Although the big day of this event will be on Saturday July 12th with the Festival that will include the participation of Santa Florentina Children Folk Group (La Palma), Cartagena City Folk Group (La Palma), Mpal Group.

Dance of Tudela (Navarra), Our Lady of the Fuensanta Group (Murcia) and Mpal Group.

Songs and Dances of Baza (Granada).
