Last days to enroll in summer courses UPCT (09/06/2014)

The registration period for summer courses UPCT ends this Saturday, June 14.

The Polytechnic University of Cartagena has increased this year its bid to reach 50 additional courses and activities for this summer, surpassing the thousand of places.

The courses of 25 hours and one ECTS credit granting college students are mostly made in July, although some other beginning in June and will be held in September.

The theme of the course is very diverse and covers areas related to engineering taught at the UPCT such as architecture and building, new technologies, robotics, renewable energy, hydropower or urban horticulture.

But also try cultural aspects, such as mining heritage, classical heritage and wine tasting;

environmental, and energy rating, waste recovery, rehabilitation of soil and water resources assessment;

and social issues such as the protocol or civil protection.

Among the novelties of this edition include community radio courses, underwater archeology, safety coordination in sailing events, development cooperation models and successful family businesses.

Traditional collaboration of the different armies in the summer courses of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena is increased this year with a new proposal, the course in information systems and telecommunications in the Armed Forces, the classic courses and Navigation adds Terrestrial, Diving, Sailing with sailing and motor boats, aircraft and military culture and the days of dual-use technologies

"The courses taught by professionals in the Armed Forces are a hallmark of our summer courses," notes Francisco Martinez, Vice Chancellor for Student and University Extension.

With these six courses, students who enroll will have the opportunity to see first hand the military installations of the General Air Academy in San Javier Air Base Sewer, the Quartering of Tentegorra School of Marine Diving Center and the Navy in the Algameca in Cartagena.
