Cartagena unites sport and social integration with the National Goalball Championship (05/06/2014)

This is the only sport specifically created for blind or partially sighted |

The XXIV Spain Goalball Championships held this weekend, 7 and 8 June, end in Cartagena.

It is organized by the Spanish Blind Sports Federation (FEDC) and the Territorial Delegation of ONCE in Murcia, with the cooperation of the City of Cartagena.

It is the only Paralympic sport specifically created for blind or with severe visual impairment and whose origins date back to after World War II as a method of rehabilitation for veterans who lost their sight in combat people.

Concentration is the main advantage to compete in this sport and you will have to master the eight teams participating in this weekend's event nationwide.

In the male category, battle for first place Canarias, Valencia, Cantabria and Chamartín;
