Cartagena adds to the celebration of World Environment Day (02/06/2014)

It will do this Thursday, June 5, with an agenda full of activities to raise public awareness of the importance of caring for our ecosystem.

Cartagena Red Cross has organized a cleanup in the Rambla de Benipila and a chat, along the Santa Lucia Hospital with information tables, conferences and contests

On World Environment Day, on Thursday June 5, Cartagena organizes different activities to commemorate this day and to raise awareness of the importance of environmentalism.

The city has joined the celebration with cleanings, contests and information tables.

Cartagena Red Cross in collaboration with the City and Anthemis Natura Tadpoles and associations organized for the day, cleaning the Benipila Rambla, in particular, on the stretch between the bridge access Cartagonova Stadium and the surrounding area facilities Navantia.

The activity will start at 10.00 am on the esplanade Cartagonova Stadium, where the action protocol will be explained and, during lunch, after waste collection, participants will share the shared experience, receive information about the importance of recycling and treatment of waste we generate.

The organizers advise that participants bring a gardener or a similar type gloves, like the use of sunscreen and hat or cap.

Another activity organized by this group is the next Friday the 6th, from 18.00, and home to the Cultural Hall Cajamurcia Square (Icue).

This is a Draft Day Moving within the Red Cross for the Natural Environment, Biodiversity Foundation, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, including the papers of Daniel Rolleri, Ocean Conservancy (-Projection Marine Debris Conference, A Tide Out of Control) and Pedro Garcia, Southeastern Association of Naturalists, Anse (Conference Shares Coastal Cleanup Volunteer and Study of Cetaceans in the Southeast of the Iberian Peninsula).

The Hospital of Saint Lucia also joins the celebration with an agenda of activities of all kinds throughout the day next Thursday.

From 9 am will be distributed in a tent on the Terrace Level, next to Hall, information leaflets on best practices for the conservation of the environment.

It will also provide a plant as a gift of this day.

At that same time will open an information booth at the main entrance of the Hospital Outpatient.

Later, at 9.30 am, an exhibition of recreational chemistry for hospitalized children in Pediatrics will be held.

At 10.30 hours, will hold a lecture on environmental awareness in the Hall along with demonstrations of recreational chemistry.

There will be another session at 12 noon.

At 14 hours there will be the awards contests in different categories of drawing, poetry and photography that has been organized for the occasion and with the aim of raising awareness about the small role played by the environment.

Also the radio will be much on this journey with the issuance of a live broadcast from 12.30.
