On Sunday, June 1, the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia (SORM) held its fifth subscription concert with a beautiful program that will be held in the Auditorium El Batel Cartagena and will have to Beethoven and Schumann as protagonists.
Beethoven, the SORM, directed by Virginia Martinez, will perform the Overture to Fidelio, and then, the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, which will be accompanied by the famous violinist Lina Tur.
Closely linked to Cartagena, his adopted hometown, Lina Tur has performed throughout his career under the baton of Claudio Abbado, Daniel Harding, John Eliot Gardiner, Federico Sardelli, or Paul Goodwin, among others, which has toured throughout Europe, USA and Japan, performing at major venues in the world such as Lincoln Center New York, Berliner Philharmonie, Scala of Milan, he Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie Royal Albert Hall or St. Petersburg .. The evening will terminate with the Symphony No. 2 of Robert Schumann.
Before the concert, there will be a meeting with subscribers and the general public in which the director, Virginia Martinez, accompanied by soloist and musicians SORM, discussed details of the works to be performed, curiosities of conception and composition and anecdotes assays.
This pre-concert talk will take place at 18:45 pm in the Auditorium.
