Universities asked to exceptional measures which affect the study, teaching and research activity (30/04/2014)

The Rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), Jose Antonio Franco has made this afternoon a public reading of the statement made by the Standing Committee of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), calling for the completion of the exceptional measures adversely affect the study, teaching and research activity.

Reading the statement was made simultaneously in different Spanish universities.

During reading, the rector was accompanied by the governing board, directors UPCT center, President of the Student Council and union representatives.

The CRUE, founded in 1994, is a non-profit organization formed by a total of 75 Spanish universities: 50 public and 25 private.

The CRUE is the main interlocutor of the universities with the central government and plays a key role in all regulatory developments affecting higher education in our country.

It also promotes initiatives of various kinds in order to foster relationships with the productive and social fabric, institutional relations, both national and international, working to add value to the Spanish University.
