The police tightened security coordination in a procession without incident (21/04/2014)

The Security council, Mariano García, took stock this morning of Holy Week which was held normally, without registering any unusual incident.

The mayor especially appreciated the results of collaboration between different police forces as agreed at the Safety Board that was held a few weeks ago.

Work in the historic center was reinforced in 60 days local police and the night of the meeting counted on the support of members of the UPR (Prevention and Response Unit) of the National Police.

Agents of this body and the Guardia Civil were concentrated in the districts and county and local police was reinforced in the routes of processions and its area of influence.

During the processions were deployed in areas of highest concentration of public eight teams of Civil Defence volunteers with 35 day average and 3 ambulances equipped with defibrillators and to shorten response times in cases of need that have not been produced.

Police services were held with municipal brigades coordinated infrastructure to improve cleaning and maintenance of city streets before, during and after the parade, the mayor noted.

Civil Protection conducted from Good Friday less than a hundred minor actions, such as fainting or sprains.

Devices deployed on beaches have made only preventive interventions and informative, while the Fire Department, also moved to the area processions, did not have to make any special device and whose service is now active, Easter Monday.
