Fourteen young pianists get place in the final of between strings and brass (21/03/2014)

On April 28 we will know who the winner of this category |

A total of 23 musicians accompanied by his piano delighted with his talent on Thursday hundreds of people attending the first phase of this category XVII Competition between strings and brass.

Although the competition was fierce at the high level that showed these young participants, only 14 were lucky to pass the final on April 28.

This is the edition that most pianists had to sneak into the much desired end.

Even before this instrument took the stage, the Brass premiered the Auditorium of the Conservatory of Music on Monday and Tuesday.

There were six candidates, with his trumpet, french horn, euphonium or tuba, who will have the chance to participate in the end of this mode, on April 24.

The finalists in the category of piano: Daniel Osiewala Jiménez, M ª José Pérez García, Guillermo Painted Hernández, Alberto Puche Bernal, José Manuel Ruiz Canovas, Juan Antonio Salinas Subiela, Alejandro à Alvarez Pérez, José Francisco Amaya Avellaneda, Maria Ayala Ferrer, Cegarra Alejandro Ureña, Lazaro Fernandez Millan, Olivia Sanchez Figueras, Marina Beltran and David López García Escudero.

Meanwhile, the jury was composed of Ana Lobato Barcelona (head of piano department of the Conservatory of Cartagena), Maravillas Marín Torres (director of the Conservatory of Cieza) and Francisco Javier Martínez Aranda (director of the Conservatory of San Javier).

Next week the competition continues with the semifinals Woodwinds, on 24 and 25 March, at 17.00 h, Rope and on 26 March in two calls, at 16.30 and 18.30 h .

After this round, we celebrate the long-awaited final to be held from 2 to April 30. Hence the 151 kids who participate in the competition these days all want to demonstrate their musical talent.

Back in May, 9, Room A Batel host the awards ceremony and the closing concert.

The Cartagena Chamber Orchestra with soloist Paula Puche and the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in charge to note in this event.
