Cartagena adds to honor the victims of terrorism (11/03/2014)

Today is the tenth anniversary of the attack that killed over a hundred people in Madrid |

Cartagena participated this morning as other Spanish cities, in tribute to the victims of terrorism than ten years after the worst attack in our country registered met the fateful 11th.

The sculpture was erected to Zulo to honor the victims, and within the Esplanade Quay Alfonso XII, was the place chosen to observe a minute of silence and read the manifesto of the Association of Victims of Terrorism (AVT) and today millions of people heard throughout Spain.

The delegate in Murcia this group, José Micol, was in charge of reading the speech which called for the fight for truth, memory, dignity and justice and now had to shine more than ever , not to be forgotten those broken lives.

His memory will live in the hearts of the citizens, we must keep alive the memory of the victims, for their neglect will be a victory for terrorists, prayed.

Cartagena, onlookers and tourists were coming up to this point to honor the memory of these victims, as did a large representation of the Municipal Corporation, including the Popular Party spokesmen, Jose Cabezas, the PSOE, Charity Rives, and Left United-Green, Jaime Moltó Cayetano as well as the association of victims and various agencies and organizations in the city.

For his part, the mayor, Pilar Barreiro, highlighted the role model of the victims and families for their courage and prudence in this time of grief and helplessness.

Before reading the manifesto, the Esplanade Quay kept a minute of silence was broken with the applause of the people who were there. A moving tribute to a symbolic place, next to Zulo, reflecting the desperation felt by the victims and rage, commented this morning José Micol.
