The Swimming Cartagonova, regional runner all winter (30/01/2014)

The Swimming Club has proclaimed Cartagonova regional runner all winter in the tournament held last weekend at T orre Pacheco.

The Cartagena left the club pavilion with very high participation of 34 swimmers (16 girls and 18 boys), under the technical siupervisión of Francisco Javier Aledo (Chisco) and Fernando Pelegrin.

On the Saturday morning, Sofia Agà ¼ was achieved bronze in the 800 free, while José Nieto was the surprise in the 100 butterfly with a gold and a great brand and Javier Segura became the bronze in the 200 styles.

Finally styles in the 4x100 relay, the men's team consisting Cerezuela Alejandro, Javier Segura, José Raúl González Nieto and reached a deserved bronze anxious lowering their personal brands.

On Saturday afternoon, José Nieto could beat his personal best of 400 free and rose gold. Patricia Ruiz prevailed in the 100 m styles up to the top of the podium.

Meanwhile Javier Segura l ograba gold in the 200 m breaststroke.

In relay events 4x200, girls Sofia Agà ¼ era, Amalia Martinez, Irene Parra and Carmen Castro became the bronze and the men's team did the same in the 4x200, swum by José Nieto, Javier Segura, Javier Castro and Alejandro Cerezuela.

Sunday was the excellent performance of our swimmers on the last day of the winter regional championships. Javier Segura achieved silver in the two tests was swimming on this day, the 100 m breaststroke and 400 m styles, in both getting high marks to participate in the championships of Spain winter.

For his part, José Nieto proclaimed regional champion in the 200 m freestyle and runner-up in the 200 m butterfly, both improved their personal bests.

Furthermore Jose Nieto, also getting the first classification according to the FINA score board (best swimmer of the championship).

Finally, in the classification by clubs, getting Cartagonova second consecutive second place, behind UCAM Fuensanta, and followed the club swimming Lorca, who was third.
