San Antón Animal blessing on your big day (17/01/2014)

In the neighborhood of San Antón cartagenera touches gala dress today to celebrate the feast of its patron. Hundreds of neighbors, onlookers and revelers have come to Church Square to participate in the most important day of these popular celebrations.

The event was attended by a large part of the municipal corporation as Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, José Cabezas, and have experienced firsthand the various organized activities.

The day began about eight o'clock with traditional flowery target.

A few hours later, around eleven, marked the start of Mass in honor of the patron saint, which this year had the presence of the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca.

On the street, the horses were ready to delight audiences minutes later with their tricks and stunts.

Shortly after hundreds of residents flocked to the Church Square to the famous blessing of the animals.

Dogs, cats, iguanas, birds and even a monkey were cited in San Anton starring funny pictures with their owners.

The octopus also became one of the great stars of the day.

But this time it was not blessing, but eating.

Neighbors could taste this rich delicacy with popular donuts San Antón.

The music came from the hand of the Great Vermouth dancing in which participants dancers showing their skills to follow the beat of the orchestra playing at the local office of this neighborhood.

Musical groups and Azabach Nerea and were responsible for giving the note this year and did entertain the participants of this conference.
