The Orange Rugby rugby challenge brings the base to Cartagena kids (13/12/2013)

The host city of Cartagena on Saturday 14 December, a new stage in Spain Orange rugby championship challenge, with which the Spanish Rugby Federation, and Orange as the main sponsor, want to push the practice of this sport among Spanish children, for which has the support of the City of Cartagena.

The Zenith Mall parking in Calle Ribera de San Javier, was the place chosen to host this day of competition and promotion that will begin at 10 am.

Responsible for presenting the event have been the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, the president of the Rugby Federation of Murcia, César Vidal, coordinator Orange Rugby Challenge, Horacio Ferreira, and Vice President of Rugby Club Universitario de Cartagena, Cristian Kan.

This activity, which is free and open to everyone, will d irigida both young and have been practicing rugby and those who have not ever done, which is to have two circuits.

All rugby clubs may wish to enroll in the Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 categories thereof to his players, divided into teams of 4.

To date there are about 30 teams pre-registered.

These young Federated participate in various tests to score in its category, being winning the club who obtained the highest score in proportion to the participating teams.

This club will be awarded to further support the sport of rugby practice among federated material.

Furthermore, in line with its objective to promote the progression of rugby in Spain, the Orange rugby challenge also will open to children of all ages, not having practiced it before, want to learn to play the sport of oval ball.

Cartagena is one of the 15 Spanish cities involved in this project.

Zaragoza, Gijón and Madrid were the first cities in which individual championships technique that provides for the Orange this season rugby challenge developed.

The next meetings of the tournament will be as early as January 2014, in A Coruña, Barcelona, ​​Palma de Mallorca, Santander, Sevilla, Valencia, Valladolid and Vitoria.

In addition to individual skills championship, the Orange rugby challenge involves the development of a competition for federal teams in three of the cities that will host the tournament, with a grand finale in Madrid.

The organization of the championships in these four locations are determined by clubs or associations that request it, adjusting its proposals to established bases.
