Cartagena Chamber Orchestra will celebrate its tenth anniversary in El Batel (03/12/2013)

With the cooperation of the City and the Conservatory, and sponsorship of Repsol, the Orchestra has prepared for a performance Dec. 13 in the main hall of the Auditorium, and is open until full capacity

The Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, which was created ten years ago due to the concerns of a group of professors of the Conservatory to spread classical music, has decided to celebrate its tenth anniversary in style, with a special concert, which took place on Friday, December 13th, at 20.30 pm in Conference Room A of the Auditorium El Batel.

It counts with the support of the City and the Music Conservatory of Cartagena, and sponsoring company Repsol, hence today the presentation of the event have appeared the councilors of Culture and Youth, and Ruth Rosario Montero Collado, the director of Repsol Cartagena, Juan Antonio Carrillo de Albornoz, and the coordinator of the Orchestra, Pedro Martinez.

Throughout these years, the Orchestra has been consolidating and, in his way, found accomplices, as the Youth Council, which has had the musicians for promotional concerts Contest of young talent between strings and brass.

Just one of those young talents, the first to win the competition in the form of violin at 15, Felipe Rodriguez, star in the Special Tenth Anniversary Concert, under the direction of Jordi Mora, both career and talents of international stature, with program, in its first part, includes Don Giovanni Overture, Mozart and the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E Minor OP.

TEN YEARS DOING MÚSICA

The Cartagena Chamber Orchestra was established a decade ago with the intention of making music now, and has maintained its objective and its components, virtually the same since he began his career in the year 2002-2003.

Training has enjoyed great moments throughout this period, with the help of directors as Leo Brower, Brian Weber and Jordi Mora, and has performed major works written for chamber orchestra from the Baroque to the century XXI.

In addition, he has done all types of concerts, chamber, classical, symphonic, family, school, always very well received by the public, both of Cartagena, as those cities that have passed.

The Cartagena Chamber Orchestra is a string orchestra and consists of 13 components, seven violins, 3 violas, 2 cellos, 1 double bass.
