The artist Curro Piñana ends Tuesdays at the Archaeological Museum (02/12/2013)

Born in Cartagena in 1974, Curro Piñana began his apprenticeship with the direct teachings of his grandfather (Antonio Piñana, father) on the varied and complex styles miners.

Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Musical Research by the University of Murcia, currently teaches as singer and Professor of History, Aesthetics and Sociology of Flamenco at the Conservatory of Music.

His Flemish work is not limited exclusively to the artistic.

As a keen student of flamenco, he has given numerous lectures and illustrated in institutions such as the Universities of Seville, Alicante and Extremadura, or host? Flamenco in France Do in Paris, among others.

He has been director of the Aula de Flamenco de San Pablo CEU University from 1999 to 2003.

Throughout his career, Curro has obtained, among others, the important awards among which are: Mining lamp in the XXXVIII International Festival del Cante de Las Minas (1998), along with other prizes of the same festival: Cartageneras, Tarantas and mining fandango;? Cup? Teatro Pavón Youth Prize Figures Flamenco granted by the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid (1997) and the National Award for Flamenco "? Úbeda City (2006).

He has performed throughout the Spanish geography and varied countries, many of them regularly: United States, Japan, Germany, Russia, Morocco, UAE Ã Arabs, Poland, France, Belgium, England, Ireland, Portugal, Algeria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Lithuania, India, etc..

His discography includes works: From the human and the divine (1998), Curro Piñana Miguel Hernández (2002), Bolts (2003), From waking at dawn (2004), Misa Flamenca (2007) and Anthology of Cante Minero (2011 ).
