Citizens Movement pressure makes the Local Government requesting a full refund of the grant of Contentpolis (04/09/2013)

Citizens Movement (MC) has access to the minutes of the Local Government Board dated July 26, 2013 where, as already denounced the motion filed by the Municipal Group to Full Council in November 2012, full recovery is requested grant of € 450,000 that Ms. Barreiro gave the money to the Cultural Foundation Cartagena Media, for the failed project of the Digital Content Town "Contempolis" as now the Board of Governors approved.

We are pleased that they research and monitoring since MC has been conducted in the past two years by denouncing the lack of grip and Local Government to recover those funds, has paid off.

Mention, as it did at the time the local press that the legal representative of the Cultural Foundation Media, Andrés Vicente Gómez, producer and entrepreneur audiovisual sector, "arrived in Cartagena in the hands of former mayor Jose Antonio Alonso Socialist" and already project involved the unborn Local Digital TV, through an agreement signed with the city to implement courses.

From MC we also welcome that the total amount of the subsidy is to be returned by the Cultural Foundation Media to city coffers, not to justify it or the courage to do so, the nearly 50,000 euros and they said they had spent in the failed project, using it in camcorders and digital courses.

For MC Councilman Jose Lopez, "only one" but ", we would like from the Government of Ms. Barreiro, we were told then what was spent 50,000 euros in the previous draft Local Digital Television was spent, if they were employed in materials or salaries only, and is detailing those who charged 50,000 euros.
